An elevator lowers Adam into the shadowy nightmare of the city, where the hunt begins. So Adam is forced to find a regular supply on the dark streets below. But like everything else in the city, his plants require blood to survive. His only companion is a bonsai tree, which he dutifully cares for-perhaps only to pass the time. More free updates are promised, but as the game stands, it is primarily for those with fond memories of the original violent motorcycle racing title.Adam Smithson does his best to exist in his tiny apartment, alone, high above Century City. Despite these positives, the currently lacks an overall level of content. Single player races earn upgrades for additional weapons and vehicles while co-op and multiplayer bring mayhem between friends. While this means that realism is thrown to the wayside in favour of arcade style racing, the game is pure adrenaline. Road Redemption, while not officially linked to Road Rash, is a gloriously unabashed love letter to the simple fun of bashing other players off the road and does a fine job. In that game, 16 bit motorcycle races were won with fists and chains in a refreshingly violent take on the genre which usually featured mushrooms for power ups. Back to the ninetiesįirst time players of Road Redemption could be forgiven for thinking they were playing a HD remake of the 90s Sega hit Road Rash. Players battle it out for first places with various weapons in a spiritual successor to the famous Mega Drive cult classic. Road Redemption is an arcade style racing game with a violent twist.
